Status/TODO for tool: smid

I have a need for an smi daemon. I see from the TODO, the cvs tree and the project graphic that 'smid' is under development. As I have some time and the inclination... Can I help to finish 'smid'?
I know what I need it to do, and have started looking at smid.c Is there any documentation describing the planned/missing features? Is the plan to have 'smid' behave similar to 'smiquery'?
Thanks

Well, feel free to hack whatever you like. :-) If the (very rough) ideas I had for "smid" is what you like, feel free to use it.
My early idea was to have a daemon that can serve single definitions from MIBs via a TCP/IP-based service. Later on, this seemed too complicated and relatively useless to me, and I worked a little on "smicache", which is also included, since I regarded the possibility to fetch a whole MIB as sufficient for what I had in mind.

Sorry, there is no documentation and no plan at all to continue work on smid. But if you like it, keep going...
