HI, smidump utility has ability to convert SMI files to XML files. I would like to see the XML schema file to which the converted XML file confirms to. I believe this schema file will give how all the constructs(eg. Module Identity, Agent Capabilities etc) defined in SMIv2 should be expressed in a XML document. I looked at http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/libsmi/xsd/ but didn't find such a verbose schema file. Am i missing something?

There is an old ID in the doc directory of the source distribution (at least in the CVS). This ID has the DTD. There are some people right now working on some of the oddities and since there are some real bugs, it is likely that we are going to change the format slightly.
And this will be the point in time where writing a more precise schema makes sense. If you are seriously interested in using this, please get back to me since we might create a mailing list to discuss this XML exchange format for SMIv2 definitions further.
