Who is using stop? Of ourse, if stop really does not work, then we need to find a new name. But, if there is no conflict with scli, so please use it. In general, I prefer to stay away from the "snmp-" prefix.
`stop' won't work for Debian unfortunately. It is in use by some other tool called "run" (http://www.obsidian.co.za/run/) (I think the `stop' program there is used for stopping instances of programs).
I'm preparing a package with snmp-cli rerenamed to scli right now.
Are there any other ideas/suggestions for a new name of stop out there?
I found `stop' to be rather good actually (a la `ntop'). Maybe something like `nmtop' would do? (though I guess that if you don't like snmptop this isn't a good alternative).
