-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IEEE MASS is a premier, annual forum for sharing original, novel ideas in
mobile ad hoc networks and wireless sensor networks, defined broadly.
Continuing this tradition, the 14th IEEE International Conference on Mobile
Ad hoc and Sensor Systems (MASS) will be held in Orlando, Florida, USA, on
October 14-17, 2017. Wireless ad hoc communications, Internet of Things,
and mobile computing are increasingly being used in civilian and military
applications in homes and businesses, cities and rural areas, sea and
space. Wireless sensor and actuator networks are being widely deployed for
enhancing industrial processes and management, for various forms of
environmental monitoring and control, and for improving quality of life.
Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society, IEEE MASS 2017 aims at bringing
together researchers, developers, and practitioners to address recent
advances in mobile ad-hoc and sensor-actuator systems, covering algorithms,
theories, systems, protocols, applications, experiments, and testbeds.

Dear Colleagues,
Please pay attention to this Special Session on "Industrial Wireless
Networking" at the 18th Annual IEEE International Conference on
Industrial Technology (ICIT’17), 22-25 March 2017, Toronto,
Canada<geo:0,0?q=22-25%20March%202017%20Toronto%20Canada>.
Call for Papers
Theme: Wireless communication is very appealing for a broad range of
automation applications, including industrial process monitoring and
control, home and factory automation, environmental, building and
structural monitoring and energy management. Wireless communications in

issues arrive when non-functional properties, such as real-time behavior
and adaptability, must be enforced. We solicit technical papers
describing original ideas, theory, methodology and experiences from the
design, implementation and deployment of wireless systems for industrial
automation. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
· Advanced network architectures and standards for industrial
sensor and actuator networks
· Protocols for reliable and real-time wireless communication
· Integration and coexistence of heterogeneous wireless networks
· Wireless sensor and actuator networks performance, simulation,
RF measurements, modeling and case studies
· Control over wireless networks
· Security and safety issues in industrial wireless networks
· Emerging wireless concepts, such as related to
Internet-of-Things, for industrial applications
· 5G for industrial automation

Submission Guidelines
The technical program committee welcomes paper submissions on all topics
related to computer and communication networks. All submitted papers will
be judged based on their quality and relevance through single-blind peer
review. Only original papers that have not been published or submitted for
review elsewhere will be considered.
Submitted papers should be written in the English language, with a maximum
length limit of 9 printed pages, including all the figures, references, and
appendices. Papers longer than 9 pages will not be reviewed. All papers
must be submitted in the Portable Document Format (PDF) electronically
using EDAS. When submitting the paper, the title, all co-authors, and a
concise abstract of up to 200 words should be provided to EDAS as the
metadata of the paper. The metadata should be provided before the abstract
registration deadline.
An author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference
at the full (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by
an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC co-chairs grant
permission for a substitute presenter before the conference. Non-refundable
registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final correctly
formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. Accepted and presented
papers will be published in the IFIP Digital Library and submitted to IEEE
Xplore.
To ensure appropriate consideration of conflicts of interest during the
review process, changes to the list of authors are prohibited once a paper
has been submitted for review. Should a paper be accepted, the complete
list of authors, including the ordering of authors, must remain identical
as the EDAS metadata in the final camera-ready manuscript.
