Hello, What I want to do is to pass multimedia (images and videos). For that, I'll use a machine (desktop), a fixed access point (with OpenWRT) installed in a certain place and a car with a laptop in receiving the information transmitted by the desktop. stream stream Desktop ---------> Acess Point -----------> Laptop. More specifically when the stream got the laptop I wanted to appear a picture and / or video on the laptop screen. But to believe that I have to develop something using the API of the IBR-dtn. I believe that to do so have to use the tool dtnstream, so I've been posting constantly on the tool dtnstream. You can do this with another tool? Thanks for the replies! Greetings.

Sebastian, Thank you for responding. Now that I have your answer. So, I ran the command you said and did this: teste@debian:~/ibrdtn-tools-0.6.5/src$ arecord -d 100 | dtnstream -c 5000 -d dtn://debian/yousuffer.mp3 Recording WAVE 'stdin' : Unsigned 8 bit, Rate 8000 Hz, Mono I do not know what that means! :( Thanks. Hello IBRDTN, How do I forward an audio or video file between two computers that are on the same network? The dtnd was run on two computers. I used dtnstream on a computer by specifying the desired destination and trying to get the stream with the other computer dtnrecv Any help? Felipe

NC router on IBR-DTN

Hello Johannes, I'm currently trying to work on a new router for IBR-DTN based on the ebr and simpleNC router for DTN2. I am basically trying to transcribe the code for those routers into IBR-DTN. Right now I am trying to work on a block processor so that I can use extension blocks for carrying encoded bundles. Where in the IBR-DTN code can I look for a block processor or does IBR-DTN handle block processing in a significantly different manner than DTN2? If so could you explain how extensions blocks are created and handled? Thank you Carson Dunbar

Management Routines Added to API in Version 6.5

Hello, I'm working on modifying an Android GUI for DTN2, so that it works with IBR-DTN. I planned on utilizing the NW management extension that Brenton and Arseny worked on last year for version 6.4, but I noticed that the release notes for version 6.5 state that you have extended the API to add some management routines. I'm interested in the ability to list bundles and neighbors, query for information about a particular bundle, and delete bundles. Can you tell me more about the management routines added to the API in version 6.5? Thanks, Gleneesha Johnson

Hello Felipe. If you installed the software by using the debian packages, the daemon is already running in background. Stop it first with: $ /etc/init.d/ibrdtnd stop Then you can run your own instance of the daemon. IBR-DTN Router Question in regards to Connection and Node Events

Hello, I've pretty much been able to finish my IBRDTN router, and now I am testing it to find functional flaws and polish it up. One thing I noticed is that when a node I am using goes out of range and a TransferAbortedEvent occurs, the source continues to try and send bundles to that node unsuccessfully until the node returns. I made my router based off of the FloodRouter and EpidemicRouter that you included with your source code so the code looks like this: const dtn::net::TransferAbortedEvent &aborted = dynamic_cast<const dtn::net::TransferAbortedEvent&>(*evt); // transfer the next bundle to this destination _taskqueue.push( new SearchNextBundleTask( aborted.getPeer() ) ); return; I assume this was intentional, correct? I know that there are other reasons why a bundle transfer should fail, but in my case, at least 99% of the time it is because nodes come and go out of range fairly quickly. Should I just comment out the taskqueue line to stop it from continuing to send packets unsuccesfully and just wait until a connection event continues bundle transmissions? Thanks, Carson

Probably you installed ibrcommon to some non-standard place and configure script simply can't find it. For example, if you configured and installed ibrcommon with --prefix=/home/user/local/ then try 'export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/home/user/local/lib/pkgconfig/' (bash shell syntax). This should tell the script to search in appropriate place. Also you can manually set ibrcommon_LIBS and ibrcommon_CFLAGS environment variables to point to the correct directory but PKG_CONFIG_PATH should it automatically.
