Information-Centric Networking (ICN), is a paradigm shift from a
location-aware, address-based communication
architecture to a location-independent, name-based, and connectionless
communication architecture. ICN may appear as a
promising candidate to solve many issues of the current
Push/IP/Client-Server-based, connection-oriented regid network
architecture. Adopting the ICN architecture for resource-constrained
wireless sensor-based IoT networks may further
improve the data access mechanisms, reliability issues in case of
mobility events, and high latency in case of multihop
communication. However, integrating both technologies has not
extensively been studied, especially for resource-constraint
wireless sensor networks. The scope of this Special Issue is the
examination of the challenges presented by the synergy
between ICNs and wireless sensor-based IoT networks. Therefore, we
invite researchers and experts to contribute original
research articles as well as review articles about the research topics
related to ICWSN.
It is intended that this Special Issue of the IEEE IoT Journal will show
the state-of-the-art in ICWSNs. Original research
contributions, tutorials and review papers are sought in ICWSN-related
areas including (but not limited to):
• Architecture and protocol designs for ICWSN
• Cross-layer protocol designs for ICWSN
• Naming schemes for ICWSN
• Caching schemes for ICWSN
• Protocol Designs for cluster-based ICWSN
• Architecture and protocol designs of ICWSNs with various radios, such
as LoRa, Wi-Fi, BLE, NB-IoT, etc.
• Distributed Computing over ICWSN
• Resources Orchestration over ICWSN
• Producer mobility in ICWSN
• Reliability, QoS support, sustainability, and energy efficiency in ICWSN
• Security and privacy in ICWSN
• Multimedia support in ICWSN
• Forwarding and Routing for ICWSN
• Test-Bed implementation and measurements ICWSN
Schedule
Submissions Deadline: November 15, 2020 First Reviews Due: January 31, 2021
Revision Due: March 15, 2021 Second Reviews Due/Notification: April 15, 2021
Final Manuscript Due: April 30, 2021 Publication Date: 2021
Submission
All original manuscripts or revisions to the IEEE IoT Journal must be
submitted electronically through IEEE Manuscript
Central, http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/iot. Author guidelines and
submission information can be found at http://ieeeiotj.org/. The IEEE
IoT journal encourages authors to suggest potential reviewers as part of
the submission process, which
might help to expedite the review of the manuscript. Please suggest only
those without conflict of interest. Each submission
must be classified by appropriate keywords.

EAI ADHOCNETS 2020 - 12th EAI International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks
November 17-18, 2020
https://adhocnets.eai-conferences.org/2020/
************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
*About the Workshop:*
Cooperative vehicular networking is widely acknowledged as a key enabler of
the next generation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), known as
Cooperative-ITS. The range of application of C-ITS is very large, including
driving assistance - cooperative awareness, cooperative intersection
management, cooperative platoon control, etc. Thanks to V2X
(Vehicle-to-everything) communication technology, all ITS actors (vehicles,
infrastructure and other road users) can cooperatively exchange real-time
information, leading to increasing levels of safety and efficiency. The V2X
technology combines different communication technologies, from short and
medium-range ad-hoc direct communication to 3G/4G (future 5G) cellular
network communication to realize vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V),
vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and vehicle-to-person (V2P) network
connections. Developing C-ITS applications has to cope with many
challenges, related to control theory and signal processing as well as
wireless communication. C-ITS applications impose different requirements in
terms of latency, throughput, reliability on the network and safety of the
V2X environment.
The CVNET workshop intends to cover all aspects of vehicular communication
technologies and cooperative V2X systems. It aims to bring together
engineers and scientists from both academia and industry to exchange ideas
and foster discussion about the main challenges facing the deployment of
C-ITS. The topics are not only limited to vehicular networks but also
include applications of intelligent transportation systems, safety systems,
connected vehicles and telematics.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCOPE AND OVERVIEW
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
IEEE WoWMoM 2021 is soliciting original and previously unpublished
papers addressing research challenges and advances in the areas of
wireless, mobile, and multimedia networking as well as ubiquitous and
pervasive systems and applications. Wireless networking technologies are
continuously evolving and have become a critical part of modern life, be
it for communication services, media distribution or sensing and
actuation services within the Internet of things context. To provide
users with high quality of experience in multimedia communication and
distribution, especially under moderate to high utilization, appropriate
resource management and architectural networking paradigms are
necessary. Edge computing and data-driven artificial intelligence (AI)
techniques are becoming essential tools to cope with the increasing
diversity of connected devices, and the plethora of new data-intensive
and latency-sensitive applications requested by end-users. At the same
time, Internet of Things environments, wearable computing and sensors,
support a diverse range of application domains and services, providing
rich sets of measurements for characterizing, detecting, and
understanding complex behaviors and systems and enabling feedback
mechanisms that allow them to control such systems.
IEEE WoWMoM 2021 takes a broad view and seeks papers describing
innovative research contributions to the field of mobile and wireless
networking and applications. We solicit papers that present original
work, validated by experimentation, simulation, or analysis. We also
welcome practical experiences and experimental efforts from both
industry and academia, duly documenting the lessons learned from
testbeds, field trials, or real deployments.
