Call for Demos and Posters
The 42nd IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems
(ICDCS 2022) will include poster and demonstration sessions to provide the
community a platform to communicate early results and prototypes, to
facilitate exchange of ideas, and promote collaborations. We solicit
demonstrations of distributed computing systems and applications and
posters presenting research and development results in distributed
computing systems and applications. Early implementations, prototypes, and
work-in-progress systems/applications are equally welcomed. Topics of
interest include, but are not limited to, distributed computing, cloud
computing, edge computing, distributed analytics tools and applications,
Internet of Things, mobile and wireless systems, privacy and security in
distributed computing systems, crowdsourcing, blockchains, machine learning
applications, and industry implementations/demonstrations. are welcome. We
are especially looking for work that has the potential of creating
interactions with the audience.
Submission Guidelines and Selection Criteria
The authors are asked to submit a brief proposal that includes a
description of the contribution of the poster/demonstration. The proposal
for the poster/demo should include a brief abstract that should emphasize
clearly the motivation and technical contribution of the submission,
highlights of the technical contribution at a sufficient level of details
to judge their merit, and any preliminary results (desired but not
required). Submissions for demonstration should clearly outline the
features of the demonstration that the audience can interact with and their
potential in stimulating interesting discussions with the audience. The
demonstration submissions should also explicitly outline any specially
needed accommodations that the committee has to be aware of when making a
decision on the appropriateness of the proposal.
All submissions should use the IEEE 8.5″ x 11″ Two-Column
Format<https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html
<https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html>>. The demos
submissions are limited to 4 pages and the posters are limited to 2 pages,
including all figures, tables, and references. All demos posters and demos
should be submitted via the conference submission link:
https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icdcs2022
<https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icdcs2022>
Please choose Poster and Demo track when submitting.
All accepted poster papers (up to 2 pages) and demonstration papers (up to
4 pages) will be included in the conference proceedings and will be
published on IEEE Xplore (IEEE Digital Library). Each accepted poster or
demo must have at least one author registered to attend and present the
accepted poster or demo at the conference. Posters or demos not presented
at the conference will not be included in the proceedings.
As a flagship conference, ICDCS will adhere to the general merit criteria,
including soundness and correctness, technical novelty, and quality of the
writing. Moreover, given the nature of the submission, a significant weight
will be assigned to the potential of the submission to generate interesting

Unconventional Security for Wireless Communications (USWC 2022): Call for
Papers
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 1st Workshop on Unconventional Security for Wireless Communications
(UWSC 2022) -- https://www.tii.ae/workshop/uswc
Co-located with EWSN 2022 -- October 3, 2022
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Recent advances in wireless communications have supported an increasingly
interconnected world: from ultra high-throughput and scalable 5G Massive
MIMO systems, to batteryless embedded sensor devices capable of running for
years on limited or scavenged power. Behind these networks, the revolution
in cloud computing has enabled softwarization of services and unprecedented
global access to data. Governments and companies are leveraging these
technologies in ways that ensure modern wireless communication networks
increasingly permeate all aspects of our everyday lives: from managing
power grids, to delivering your pizza.
Unfortunately, despite several recent high-profile cases of industrial
espionage and embarrassing public data leaks, security is still often
considered as an afterthought, even as everything from car journeys, to
infrastructure monitoring, to delivering your pizza is increasingly
automated. Even when security is prioritized, the pace of technological
change and inherent novelty of use cases can expose unforeseen weaknesses –
sometimes to dire consequences.
The Workshop on Unconventional Security in Wireless Communications (USWC)
aims to bring together researchers from fields such as Networking, AI, ML,
Telecoms, and Digital Security, and invites them to “think outside the
box”. Not only on how wireless communications and networks should, and
could, be secured, but how unconventional attacks may circumvent
established security dogma. We welcome submissions with unusual takes on
existing techniques, proposals for novel security solutions, exposure of
atypical weaknesses, and the application of unconventional approaches to
solve next-generation wireless security challenges.
UWSC provides a venue for researchers from diverse backgrounds to apply
novel technologies and techniques in unusual and surprising ways – whether
to solve current challenges, or expose inherent weaknesses. Above all, UWSC
aims to be a forum for lively discussion and engaged debate on past,
present, and future of communication security in an interconnected world.

Format<https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html>. The
