IEEE Communications Society sponsorship
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The papers will be included in the conference proceedings, published by
IEEE CS Press (IEEE Xplore) and indexed by Scopus and Ei Compendex.
The WiMob conference is an international forum for the exchange
of experience and knowledge among researchers and developers
concerned with wireless and mobile technology. For eighteenth
years, the International WiMob conference has provided unique
opportunities for researchers to interact, share new results,
show live demonstrations, and discuss emerging topics relevant
to the field.
WiMob 2022 is soliciting high quality technical papers
addressing research challenges in the areas of wireless
communications, wireless networking, mobility, nomadicity,
ubiquitous computing, services and applications. Papers should
present original work validated via analysis, simulation or
experimentation. Practical experiences and Testbed trials also
are welcome.
WiMob 2022 will host five parallel symposia:
1. Wireless Communications (WC)
2. Wireless Networking, Mobility and Nomadicity (WNMN)
3. Ubiquitous Computing, Services and Applications (UCSA)
4. Green and Sustainable Communications and Network Computing (GSCN)
5. Security on Wireless and Mobile Networks (SWMN)
For the detailed topics, you can refer to WiMob 2022 web site

IEEE IoT Magazine - Special Issue on Pervasive, Efficient and Smart Signal
Processing for IoT
https://www.comsoc.org/publications/magazines/ieee-internet-things-magazine…
The Internet of Things (IoT) lies at the core of the unprecedented
connected era we are currently speeding towards. Both Academia and the
Industry strive to push the limits of technology fueled by vertical
applications such as: factory 4.0, eHealth, human-centric and tactile IoT,
wearable IoT, smart city/building, digital twin, etc., which will shape our
future society. Signal Processing (SP) plays a significant role in
expanding the number of IoT technologies and capitalizing on their
applications. In this context, the unique challenges from the SP point of
view are: (i) system design taking into account the applications' practical
limitations and requirements, (ii) gather collective intelligence from
heterogeneous and inexpensive IoT sensors/devices (e.g. to perform an
inference task in decentralized fashion) (iii) minimize device cost and
energy consumption while allowing perpetual monitoring/sensing (iv) grant
adaptivity to cope with device mobility use cases, (v) leverage
fine-grained "programming" of wireless environments to cope with massive
IoT scenarios. These challenges give rise to the need for developing
pervasive, inexpensive, fast, and low-power algorithms (including those
performing learning & data fusion), as well as novel theoretical tools,
evaluation benchmarks, and methodologies to characterize the performance of
the proposed algorithms.
The main goal of this Special Issue is to address these challenges and
present advanced and innovative SP tools and algorithms for IoT systems.
Contributions addressing both theoretical and practical applications
including, but not limited to the following topics, are welcome for submission:
- efficient SP for data collection from IoT devices (compressed sensing
techniques, censoring, quantization, mixed-resolution sensors, etc.)
- SP techniques enabling dense and/or interfering multiple-access in IoT
- distributed inference and data fusion for IoT (estimation, detection,
classification, multimodal methods, etc.)
- theoretical analysis and performance bounds for IoT systems (MSE lower
bounds, CRLB, uncertainty quantification, etc.)
- intelligent processing for green IoT (low-complexity resource
optimization, edge-cloud architectures, coarse-quantization transceivers
for IoT, green AI, etc.)
- machine learning for IoT data processing (federated, graph-based,
distributed, etc.)
- SP programming the IoT wireless environment (ambient backscattering,
energy-harvesting, wireless power transfer, reconfigurable intelligent
surfaces, etc.)
- IoT-based integrated sensing and communications, localization
- SP-enabled vertical applications for IoT (factory 4.0, smart cities,
digital twin, etc.)
Submission Guidelines
All submissions are peer reviewed to ensure that only the highest-quality
original articles are published. Submitted articles should strive to make
their contribution understandable by the general IoT practitioner and must
comply with the specifications detailed in the Submission Guidelines. In
particular, articles should not exceed 4500 words (excluding figures,
tables, captions, abstract and references), figures and tables should be
limited to a combined total of six, mathematical equations should not be
used (a maximum of three simple equations may be allowed only in justified
cases and upon agreement from the co-Lead GEs), a limit of 15 archival
references is recommended (beyond which permission from the EiC is
required), etc.
The articles must be submitted through Manuscript Central. Given that the
type of article for this SI is December 2022/Pervasive, Efficient and Smart
Signal Processing for IoT go to Manuscript Central, register or log in, and
go to the Author Center. Follow the instructions there.

ACM SenSys 2022 Call for Papers
The ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys 2022) is
the premier computer systems conference focused on the architecture,
design, implementation, and performance of networked sensing systems,
sensor-oriented data modeling and analytics, and sensor-enabled
applications. ACM SenSys brings together academic, industry, and
government
professionals to a single-track, highly selective forum that takes a
broad
view on the areas of computing relevant to the future of networked
embedded
sensor systems. Topics of interests include, but are not limited to, the
following:
- New platforms and hardware designs for networked sensor systems
- New communication paradigms for ubiquitous connectivity
- Low-power wireless media access control, network, and transport
protocol designs
- Systems software, including operating systems, network stacks, and
programming
- System services such as time and location estimation
- Low-power operation, energy harvesting, and energy management
- Resource-efficient machine learning for embedded and mobile
platforms
- Mobile and pervasive systems with elements of networked sensing
- Data management and analytics, including quality, integrity, and
trustworthiness
- Learning algorithms and models for perception, understanding, and
adaptation
- Heterogeneous collaborative sensing, including human-robot sensor
systems
- Security and privacy in networked sensor applications and systems
- Fault-tolerance, dependability, and verification
- Applications and deployment experiences
We invite technical papers describing original ideas, groundbreaking
results, and real-world experiences involving innovative networked
embedded
sensor systems. Successful submissions will explain why the topic is
relevant to a vision of the future of sensing systems. Submissions will
be
judged on originality, significance, clarity, relevance, and
correctness.
Important Dates
*Paper Registration and Abstract* May 31th, Jun 14 2022, 23:59 AoE
*Paper Submission* June 7th, June 21, 2022, 23:59
*Notification of Paper Acceptance* August 31, September 14, 2022
*Camera Ready Due* October 2022
*Conference* November 7-9 2022
Submission Guidelines
Submitted papers must be unpublished and must not be currently under
review
for any other publication. Submissions must be full papers, at most *12
single-spaced 8.5” x 11” pages* with 9-pt font size in two-column
format,
including figures and tables. As for references, submissions may include
as
many pages as needed. All submissions must use the LaTeX (preferred) or
Word styles found here
<http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template>. LaTeX
submissions
should use the acmart.cls template (sigconf option), with the default
9-pt
font. This format will be used also for the camera-ready version of
accepted papers. Authors must make a good faith effort to anonymize
their
submissions. Although submission is double-blind, existence or
availability
of non-anonymous preprints (on arXiv or other preprint servers) will not
lead to your paper being rejected. Reviewers will be instructed not to
actively look for such preprints, but encountering them will not
constitute
a conflict of interest. Papers that do not meet the size, formatting,
and
anonymization requirements will not be reviewed. We require each paper
to
be in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and submitted through the
conference submission system.
Papers that describe experiments on human subjects, or that analyze
nonpublic data derived from human subjects (even anonymized data),
should
briefly describe how the research protocol addresses ethical
considerations
and whether their work was vetted by an ethics review (e.g., IRB
approval).
We expect authors to follow the rules of their host institutions around
data collection and experiments with human subjects.
Accepted submissions will be available on the ACM digital library at
most
two weeks before the conference.
