===================================================================
The International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks
(IPSN) is the leading annual forum on research at the intersection of
networked embedded sensing, control, and systems design. Now in its 21st
year, IPSN has been at the forefront of the development of today’s "smart"
systems. IPSN brings together researchers from academia, industry, and
government to present and discuss recent advances in both theoretical and
experimental research on all aspects of networked systems of sensors and
actuators. Its scope includes signal and image processing, information and
coding theory, databases and information management, distributed
algorithms, networks and protocols, wireless communications, collaborative
objects, the Internet of Things, machine learning, mobile and social
sensing, and embedded systems design. Of special interest are contributions
at the confluence of multiple of these areas.
IPSN 2022 is part of the CPS-IoT Week, the premier venue for research and
development of cyber-physical systems. IPSN is co-sponsored by both the ACM
and IEEE, and it continues to emphasize research that bridges multiple
research communities. IPSN is interested in all aspects of sensor networks,
ranging from traditional topics such as networking to more recent
developments such as embedded machine learning and computer vision.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Systems, Architectures, and Tools
== Sensor data storage, retrieval, processing
== Network and system architectures and protocols
== IoT gateway platform architecture and services
== Programming models, languages, and systems
== Programming models for IoT ensembles

******** Main Conference Awards ********
In addition to the established Best Paper Award, IPSN 2022 may provide a
Best Research Artifact Award to the authors who have contributed the
research artifact that is judged to be the most novel, easy to use, well
documented, and useful to advance research. Research artifacts, such as
code, data sets, and tools, are highly encouraged to be submitted or made
available simultaneously with paper submission.
******** Submission Process ********
IPSN 2022 accepts double-blind paper submissions which have not been
previously published. Posted technical reports (ArXiv or similar) do not
count as prior publication and do not violate the double-blind requirement.
Submitted manuscripts are up to 12 pages, inclusive of figures, tables, and
references, following the ACM master article template. Papers are to be
submitted at https://ipsn2022.hotcrp.com/. During the review process, the
reviewers may anonymously communicate with the authors for clarifying
questions.
IPSN collaborates closely with the IoTDI conference, given the proximity in
research themes (both related to IoT) and the co-location in CPS-IoT Week.
We provide submission guidelines to aid prospective authors with the
conference venue selection. In the meantime, we would like to make explicit
that double submission remains prohibited under ACM's policy of Prior
Publication and Simultaneous Submissions. In 2022 and to foster a closer
joint-community, we would invite quality submissions to one venue for
publication at the other, in case we find fit and the authors agree.

Betreff: [TCCC-ANNOUNCE] [IEEE VNC 2021] Call for posters and demos
Datum: Wed, 25 Aug 2021 10:40:25 +0200
Von: Michele Segata <michele.segata(a)UNIBZ.IT>
Antwort an: Michele Segata <michele.segata(a)UNIBZ.IT>
An: tccc-announce(a)COMSOC.ORG
Dear colleagues,
please find below the Call for posters and demos for IEEE VNC 2021.
IEEE VNC 2021 - Call for Posters and Demos
13th IEEE Vehicular Networking Conference (VNC)
November 10-12, 2021
Hybrid event (Ulm, Germany and online)
https://ieee-vnc.org/2021/
Now in its 13th year, VNC has been the primary venue for people
interested in vehicular communication to meet.
Last year, VNC 2020 featured a very different format. While some
attendees called it the best online-conference they attended in 2020,
not meeting in person is only the second best option.
In 2021, the organizing team is therefore committed to bring back the
opportunity to meet in-person again. As the development of the pandemic
over the next months and thus the possibilities to travel to and meet in
a conference venue in November are hard to predict, we made the decision
to plan VNC 2021 in a hybrid format where we aim for an equally good
conference experience for both presenters and attendees no matter if you
attend on-site or remotely. You will be able to register for the online
conference and book an add-on package for on-site participation even on
relatively short notice, leaving you all options open as long as
possible.
We therefore encourage authors to submit their research to VNC 2021 and
enjoy the best of both worlds: on-site presentations and meetings with
the VNC community if possible; or an excellent online experience if
travel cannot be arranged.
VNC 2021 is seeking for poster and demo papers about the following topics.
Connectivity
- 5G and beyond-5G technologies for connected vehicles
- Emerging V2X communication technologies, including dynamic spectrum
sharing, mmWave, massive MIMO, beamforming, and vehicular visible
light communications
- Networking, transport and QoS management for vehicular networks
- In-vehicle communication and networking systems
- Radio for vehicular networks (e.g., channel measurements, propagation
models, antenna design)
Architecture and System Design
- Heterogeneous vehicular networking (e.g., multi-radio, multi-channel,
multi-application, multi-technology, multi-operator) and coexistence
of access technologies
- Architectures and system designs for connected automated driving
- Cloud and edge computing for vehicular applications
- Security, privacy, liability, and dependability of vehicular networks
- Integration of V2C communications with on-board systems and networks
Tools & Methods
- Hardware and software platforms for simulation, emulation,
prototyping, measurement, and/or real-world deployment of vehicular
networks and applications
- Field measurements and/or real-world deployments of vehicular networks
and applications
- Optimization techniques (e.g., linear programming, machine learning)
with unique benefits for vehicular applications
- Modeling, design, and analysis of vehicular networks and applications
Applications
- Cooperative perception and cooperative driving
- Innovative vehicular network applications and their communication
requirements
- Vulnerable road user protection
- Vehicular networks and IoT integration
- Impact assessments of vehicular networks on transportation (e.g.,
safety, efficiency, comfort, privacy, and environmental
sustainability)
All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed. The Best Paper Award,
selected by a committee, will be given to the paper with the highest
impact. Conference content will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE
Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
Deadlines:
----------
01 Sep 2021: Poster and Demo submissions due (final)
16 Sep 2021: Acceptance notifications
30 Sep 2021: Camera ready versions due
10 Nov 2021: Conference starts (virtually and in Ulm, Germany)
Submission Types:
-----------------
Posters are especially suited for presenting controversial research
directions that may generate discussion, or promising ideas not yet
fully validated through complete extensive evaluation. They are limited
to at most two (2) pages and their title must begin with "Poster:".
Demonstration (demo) papers are suited for researchers to showcase their
latest prototypes with media, models, or live demonstrations. They are
limited to at most two (2) pages and their title must begin with
"Demo:".
Submission Process:
-------------------
Submitted papers must be IEEE compliant Adobe PDF files written in
English, formatted in standard IEEE two-column format with a font size
no less than 10-point. Reviewing is not double-blind, so authors may
include their names, affiliations, and other identifying information in
submitted manuscripts. Only compliant files will be accepted for review.
All submissions must be made electronically through EDAS. Detailed
submission instructions will be made available on the conference
website, https://ieee-vnc.org/2021/

IEEE ICNP 2021 Call for Posters/Demos
Virtual Event, November 1-5, 2021
IEEE ICNP 2021 will hold a poster and demo session to showcase work in
progress. The poster/demo session has been a successful regular event at
ICNP in past years. These sessions will provide a great chance for students
and researchers to obtain feedback on their on-going research from
knowledgeable conference attendees.
Extended abstracts (2 pages) of the posters or extended description (2
pages) of the demos should be submitted in the Portable Document Format
(PDF) only, following the same formatting instructions as for the main
conference papers, except that the author names should be included in the
2-page PDF, and their title must bear a "Poster:" or "Demo:" prefix,
respectively.
The submissions will be reviewed by members of the Poster/Demo Session
committee. The abstracts of accepted posters and demos will be included in
the proceedings and in IEEE eXplore. At the conference, posters/demos must
be presented by one of the co-authors.
Posters and demos submitted to this call for papers should contain
unpublished original ideas and not be abbreviations of published papers.
Note that acceptance and presentation at ICNP 2021 of a poster or demo
containing original ideas will not prevent authors from publishing a more
complete version of their ideas in future conferences and journals.
Poster/Demo Chairs
- Ravi Prakash (University of Texas at Dallas, USA)
- Richard T.B. Ma (National University of Singapore, Singapore)

Call For Papers
=============================================================================
CFP IEEE DependSys 2021
The 7th IEEE International Conference on Dependability in Sensor, Cloud,
and Big Data Systems and Applications
Dec. 17-19, Haikou, China
[Submission Deadline: Sep. 1][10+ Special Issues]
http://www.ieee-cybermatics.org/2021/dependsys/
IEEE DependSys 2021 conference is the 7th event in the series of
conferences which offers a timely venue for bringing together new ideas,
techniques, and solutions for dependability and its issues in sensor,
cloud, and big data systems and applications. As we are deep into the
Information Age, huge amounts of data are generated every day from sensors,
individual archives, social networks, Internet of Things, enterprises and
Internet in various scales and format which will pose a major challenge to
the dependability of our designed systems. As these systems often tend to
become inert, fragile, and vulnerable after a period of running.
Effectively improving the dependability of sensor, cloud, big data systems
and applications has become increasingly critical.
This conference provides a forum for individuals, academics, practitioners,
and organizations who are developing or procuring sophisticated computer
systems on whose dependability of services they need to place great
confidence. Future systems need to close the dependability gap in face of
challenges in different circumstances. The emphasis will be on differing
properties of such services, e.g., continuity, effective performance,
real-time responsiveness, ability to overcome data fault, corruption,
anomaly, ability to avoid catastrophic failures, prevention of deliberate
privacy intrusions, reliability, availability, sustainability,
adaptability, heterogeneity, security, safety, and so on.
=============================================================================
IEEE DependSys 2021 is sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE
Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC). All accepted papers will
be submitted to IEEE Xplore and Engineering Index (EI). Best Paper Awards
will be presented to high quality papers. Distinguished papers, after
further revisions, will be published in 10+ SCI & EI indexed prestigious
journals (confirmed).
