Hi Juergen,
The current 0.4.3 cannot be built as-is using msvc 6.0. Several
changes are needed. I have been able to build it with the native w32
msvc 6.0 after making some changes. I will email diffs when ready.
Best regards,

Hi!
Some time has passed and numerous bugs have been fixed, improvements
have been added, primarily to a number of smidump drivers, IETF and IANA
MIBs have been updated and added since the last release of libsmi. Thus,
today I switched to release 0.4.3
As usual, you can find it at
http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/projects/libsmi/
ftp://ftp.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/pub/local/libsmi/
Those users who access the libsmi repository, please note that along with
the new release I switched from CVS to Subversion (SVN) as the favorite
revisioning system. Libsmi is no longer available through CVS. If you have
Subversion installed, you can checkout the code with
svn checkout http://svn.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/svn/libsmi
People who previously had problems to access the CVS server due to a very
strict firewall, should now have better chances to reach it since now
HTTP/WebDAV is used to access the repository.
Enjoy,
-frank
I am getting myself annoyed by these namelength-32 warnings. While I
know how
to turn them off, I am wondering whether the time has come to just kill
these
warnings. This would be inline with the MIB review guidelines.
Another issue are the smidump options. I would like to rename the -s
smidump
option to say -q and introduce the -s and -m options in exactly the same
way smilint implements them. This would allow to change an smilint
command
more easily to an smidump command and back and promote some more
consistency.
If nobody objects, I will implement both of these changes.
